I generally kinda suck at giving gifts for actual occasions. I'm better at the random-Tuesday gifts, when I'm like "oh, they clearly need this hedgehog-themed pajama set" or something. But this year, I got a well timed bit of ham (not spam because I signed up for it, but still promotional email) that gave me the idea that Mom needed a delivery of frozen German bread for Mother's Day. I don't know why it didn't occur to me on any of the half a dozen gift-giving holidays between my first order and now... But better late than never. She was as thrilled as I was with my first box. The brödchen absolutely takes us back to breakfasts in Germany. Now if only I had a time machine (or more energy to do homemade) so I could get Quark to go with it... If I liked eggs better, it'd make me wanna get egg cups and one of those fancy egg cappers for soft-boiled eggs. Are slightly jammy eggs to eat in egg cups a thing anyone actually does?
