Gargron still shows up on the Mastodon Github, here, as recently as 21 Apr 2026: "Re: [mastodon/mastodon] Add admin UI for managing email subscriptions (PR # 38741)" 04/21/2026 So Gargron is still active, he just wanted to get out of the direct line-of-fire regarding opinions he simply did not want to hear and got tired of dealing with Also see, as one, Andy Piper, who will be out (and probably truly gone) after Apr 28 Just a little too hot in the hot seat Be interesting to see how quickly Andy Piper is replaced I'm betting not any time soon, but that's me... cc @clarfonthey@toot.cat
