OF COURSE I FUCKING KNOW WHAT A SYSTEMD SERVICE MEANS AND I STILL DON'T LIKE IT! As, apparently, a substantial portion of open source community oposes when open source capitulates to surveillance state laws, just as a matter of principle.
You're making to many assumptions about the world and people in it you obviously don't know enough about ...

@PeterSoukup@mastodon.social Spyware disguised as "child safety" is a disgrace for sure. The laws and the tech companies pushing them are beyond orwellian. Yet, I still don't fault an open source project for simply including tooling for other open-source projects to comply with unjust laws that unfairly impact foss projects and remove people from the ability to have the most basic control over hardware they bought and paid for. The whole situation sucks. Clickbait titles and misinformation also suck.
