@kevinrenskers@hachyderm.io The change to my position on automated updates was based on the realization that Apple is now turning iWork apps into yet another recurring wealth extraction mechanism. They downgraded Numbers on my iPhone and now the app is infested with a subscription ad. I managed to disable updates on all other devices before it could get to them. I will not allow Apple to hold yet more of my data hostage. I'm now actively researching Linux alternatives for the first time since 2001.
