@mysk@mastodon.social I see the problem, but I'm not sure what the real solution would be - IOS is being told by the user to update the VPN software that the user is at that very time using. During the update, the VPN stops working for a moment.
🤷♂️
So should iOS shut down all apps if a VPN is being updated? Not sure if all users will appreciate that.

@tsturm@famichiki.jp @mysk@mastodon.social Disabling automatic app updates seems sensible, and manually updating non-VPN apps as required. A VPN update gone wrong would leave the user vulnerable even if the Internet were blocked during the update.

@tsturm@famichiki.jp @mysk@mastodon.social Disabling automatic updates of that app while the VPN is enabled, and then adding a warning modal if the user manually updates (like the one that appears if you update/download an app while roaming) would prevent this nicely imo
