@kentpitman@climatejustice.social at one point it references a key combination "Top-H on a TV keyboard", as opposed to "a normal ASCII keyboard". do you by chance have insight into what terminal that would have been? clearly an early visual terminal, but not one we're personally familiar with...

@ireneista@adhd.irenes.space That refers to either a Knight TV (as used at the MIT AI Lab) or I think Stanford AI Lab (SAIL) had its own similar kind of thing. But see, for example, the page referenced below [1] for a picture of the keyboard. There were alternate glyphs atop the regular glyph on many keys, and the Top shift got you those. You see those manifested on other keyboards later as "Front" or "Greek" but usually they were not general-purpose Greek, just all talking about the same subset of weird characters, many greek, but some math, that the SAIL character set [2] had. See especially the ones with codes 0-31 decimal, which are printing characters in the SAIL character set. I hope that gives you a useful frame of reference.
