We ate in a restaurant that was slightly pricy (very close to the D/CH border, I guess) but OK.
Then I rode back, this time through Germany.
Across the Rhine, production of something or the other was still busy, it seems.

About 23km and 1h of riding each way, and a lot of it was on cycle paths. Not bad! I feel that riding two hours with a 4h dinner break in between is somehow cheating, but I am still glad I did it. The ride back over dark fields felt fast and at the same time relaxing. Would do again, definitely.
