TBH, I agree. Society should have focused less on "adding to the rainbow" and more on "trans people and intersex people are part of the preexisting rainbow, and racism and gatekeeping are not okay in the preexisting rainbow". Same reason I loathe when people say "queer and trans" instead of "queer". Like, it's an umbrella already, let's stop dividing it, that's what fascists want.
