@mbpaz@mas.to @flexion@oldbytes.space I'll admit I didn't do as much with Sun gear at that scale. I ran into a lot of Sparcstations and IPCs/IPXes, but didn't get to the bigger stuff from them until later in my career - and then it was all rackmount datacenter stuff.
The research computing datacenter folks I know will deny to this day that they almost toppled an entire rack of heavy gear by unloading it in the wrong order!

@davidseidl@mstdn.social @flexion@oldbytes.space I have an ("inherited") Sun 42U rack in my basement. The first time my son wanted to remove a server, I automatically recited the checklist ("open rack supports, check rail brakes..."). There are mistakes you don't want to repeat.
