@geerlingguy@mastodon.social meanwhile, I just bought a couple of home switches and skipped on paying an extra £50 to get the 2.5Gb versions. And downgraded my broadband to from 500Mb to 350Mb to save £5 per month. I just don't have many use cases where I need anything quicker, so I may as well save the money.

@guigsy@mstdn.social Yeah; for my home connection I'm considering dropping to 500 Mbps from 1 Gbps.
