Such lazy and cowardly corp-speak. This sucks. https://www.heroku.com/blog/an-update-on-heroku/ What a jewel Heroku has been. I've seen so many deployment paradigms and PaaS equivalents since. Some alternatives eventually approximated the simplicity and elegance, but it's wild how convoluted and unwieldy deployment platforms and systems still are for even the most simple stacks. Sad for the good people who made Heroku work for years and for folks (like me) who still rely on it.
