AROS pc-x86_64-smp hit a milestone: it booted with 128 virtual cores in QEMU and ran llama.cpp local AI inference. A small ~15M model was tested with strict CPU affinity — all to push the experimental SMP scheduler hard. Slightly over-the-top, yet a serious test of progress. #AROS #SMP #Amiga

  • This builds on Kalamatee’s important SMP fixes, including removing the old crash limit beyond 16 cores/threads (proven on 32C/64T in VirtualBox). High-core VM tests like this help harden the code.
