@GottaLaff@mastodon.social i feel like Republicans greatest rhetorical trick was branding anti-discriminatory legislation as "identity politics," making it much harder to describe what they benefit from, ie: people identifying with their oppressor and other in-group BS. I heard a racist trash co worker taking about he doesn't think desantis is "on our side" because of some corrupt money thing, as if that doesn't materially define his politics more than the bigotry he uses for votes. Just supremacist ego crap

@GottaLaff@mastodon.social also, if you ever hear them talking about "interest groups," its just a way for them to equate the lobbying of moneyd interests with normal people petitioning for (equal) rights. Despicable. Calling for just & egalitarian policies is nothing like a megacorp lobbying to pump toxic sludge into the water table of some sacrifice zone. In fact, they are diametrically opposed & framing them as equivalent is evil. There was a Wikipedia page on it i couldn't edit because propaganda 🙄
