@LizzieSpeaks@lor.sh oh I wasn't judging! I haven't the faintest idea how to grow strawberries - alas I only know how to devour them.
But I know from transplanting exotic plants, which I've had some success in, that you get about 30% success rate and anyone who gets better than that is a wizard and/or a witch ☺️

@jjcelery@mastodon.ie I lost about 10% of the bare root baby plants I bought, which is pretty normal. I will care more next fall and really prepare them for the transition indoors for the winter.
