@Tinu@mastodon.social @haven4books@disabled.social Concerns and suspicions are totally justifiable when entering a new environment, and the fact that this looks & feels very much like Twitter (despite significant differences under the hood) makes it easy to jump to conclusions, particularly with the current vibe at the last place, but *for the time being* I’m giving them the benefit of doubt & not assuming malicious intent just yet.

@Tinu@mastodon.social @haven4books@disabled.social The potential problem has been raised & gained traction online. No, there shouldn’t be a separate server. No, it’s not up to others to educate the moderators further after pointing out an error in their judgement. They’re aware of the situation & I’m very interested to see how things progress - I hope that with a wider understanding of its communities, this platform will live up to the standards it claims to have.

@haven4books@disabled.social @jcc@mastodonapp.uk I have zero expectations for this to be like Twitter. I did in 2016 when I arrived- like Twitter but an upgrade. 6 years later I don’t expect Anywhere to be like Twitter and have suggested to my audience that it won’t. That’s the problem really, a particular experience I expected not to experience because “this ain’t Twitter” IS like Twitter- worse as at least those people are direct & conscious of their behavior & how it affects me.
