Triax, shielded diffpair, coax, ok. But quadrax???

@f4grx@chaos.social @adorfer@chaos.social @gsuberland@chaos.social it looks like they’re not what you might think when you hear “quadrax”, rather a lighter alternative to twisted pair with four wires inside a shield. https://www.gore.com/products/quad-cables-aerospace-defense-air-land I suspect this connector has two redundant gigabit Ethernet paths on it, since the vehicle it’s on is TTEthernet-based.
