@WTL@mastodon.social I’m actually curious where these connectors come from, they’re so weird and I’ve never seen them on anything other than hearing aid stuff. They feel very 1970s to me, but I’ve never found a history of them.

@sen@hachyderm.io @WTL@mastodon.social I was pretty sure I’d looked them up before and I found them in my notes soon as I got to a desk. They’re IEC 118-6, initially published in ‘84.
