Grief is a funny thing. I'm really missing my grandfather today because it's his birthday. He was born 109 years ago and he died from Parkinson's over 40 years ago but today I'm really feeling his absence. I miss puttering around in his garden with him. I miss cutting through the woods by his house so we could check in on my great aunt and eat her coffee cake. I miss the way he tried to whistle but could barely make a sound. I love my grandpa. Wish I could see him.
