@soph@grrl.me @loucyx@mastodon.social there's another part of it... even with staffed teams, many places are drowning in work that needs to be done, or the codebase is fragile, etc. Since the Valley gets the final say about work culture, they let the pipeline rot and even our best efforts in the past were not enough. I think having well rounded people that are good workers is antithetical to making gobs of money very quickly
