@Stevenheywood@mastodonapp.uk Thanks a million for all of this! Oh - and I did not know that about mowing now resulting in benefit to grass. Boo..! Grand, I reckon I'll leave it until June/July before doing anything (and I have plans to sow Yellow Rattle in August/September to try to control that grass). (Gives me time to learn how to peen the blade of my scythe, too!)
