@strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz because here are no IT people who are competent enough to achieve this. It was done for the phone network, for the mobile network, so you can call someone regardless who their ISP is.
But, when it comes to IT, the stupid, american idea of "standards de facto" will create a separate protocol per company.
