@vonExplaino@mstdn.social In Germany we still chuckle about an Hausmeister being called a "facility manager" in corporate speak. Sounds like a lot of hybris to us. Calling a sloperative an "engineer" is hurtfully offensive to me. And I'm not even working in a field that has engineers.
