They’re imagining the community (the subreddit) as a space one enters by navigating to the community’s main page, and “leaving” it is going to do other things.

A rule that asks users to post before they leave seems arbitrary, that’s why it’s confusing to me. If people only post because it’s rule, I thought a logical consequence would be tons of posts of low quality.
