@ennenine@mastodon.social yes. i think that's at least part of it. the phone did not get that great battery life with its last owner (my daughter).
If i switch ( and i'm kinda thinking of it) it'll mean switching smart watches too. I'm not sure what a pixel watch opens me up to from a privacy perspective. but i need something with the advanced heart monitoring after a little scare a year or so ago. Pixel watch does it. Apple watch does it.

@gangrif@social.undrground.org not sure if it supports what you need, but I have loved my Garmin devices (currently on a Fenix 6X). Bonus points that I sync it via Gadgetbridge, so no cloud dependency.
