@aparrish@friend.camp I sometimes feel this is social pressure kicking in. E.g. at work I really have to be careful to not be the "genAI hater" in order for my opinion & concerns to be taken serious.

@moanos@gay-pirate-assassins.de I can understand this approach! as the resident AI hater at my workplace, i often feel like my objections just end up greasing the wheels. "now that we have heard from the opposition, we are free to continue"

@moanos@gay-pirate-assassins.de @aparrish@friend.camp Fortunately in my team the vast majority is at least highly skeptical to automated slop code, and all our most senior devs are vocally opposed to it. Unfortunately we also have those who do seem to only want to stroke the middle managers with the fur in order to bait for a potential promotion. In the end you at least get to see who is of reliable moral fiber, and who you should not trust when it really counts; that can be a good thing to know in our times.
