@marsidesino@typo.social People investing in artworks are called Art Buyers, though (in this case IMO, the “buy” verb implies that they care about the art, not just the financial asset). Or you’re “buying the rights” to a song. Maybe it’s not the verb but the word “font” that gets less respect than other types of art? 🙃

@embes@typo.social for sure, “font” gets less respect. That’s exactly why I propose finding ways to talk about them as valuable assets rather than just expenses.
