Would you consider an LLM with open training data which can be "built"/trained with a single command (and vast computing resources) a tool of emancipation? /gen I'm honestly a little torn about this topic.

@dieweltist@bunt.social I think that "A thing that can take a day on contemporary computers" vs "A thing that will take 5 months and takes a whole data center" are literally somewhat orders of magnitudes different. 😃 I think potentially it could be. Or at least in free software terms could be morally neutral. Which is really the only thing I'm trying to talk about right now.
