I notice that many people here in the fediverse are posting links to big tech social media for video's. It's a lot better to download those video's and post them directly here, so that people; a. are not tracked by big tech, b. you don't make propaganda for big tech, and c. can play it directly here on the fediverse. For android I advise to install and use https://github.com/deniscerri/ytdlnis?tab=readme-ov-file#-ytdlnis. For Linux I advise https://github.com/Unrud/video-downloader?tab=readme-ov-file#installation or https://neodlp.neosubhamoy.com. I don't support Windows or Mac, but the latter app also supports big tech operating systems. I don't know anything for iOS. Please boost! 🚀 P.S. This is primarily for short video's under the 100MB.
