The new fig tree is a Souadi, a rain and cold tolerant variety from Lebanon, as originally imported by Trees of Joy, who have been lovely to work with. The fruit is purple-black and doesn't require wasps, so basically perfect. And while I'm really excited to see how it thrives here, it's in a pot for a while yet, just in case.
