@cavyherd@wandering.shop I think the RTFM crowd largely overlap with the "fuck around to figure how things work" crowd subset that doesn't realize there are people who use computers who don't function that way. As for documentation, the move-fast-&-break-things mentality is absolutely a factor—it's hard to keep up with documentation on a moving target after all—but the other part of that is that documentation is a very different skill set than programming, and a lot of projects do not treat the people with the documentation skill set as valuable. Even in projects that have funding, documentation still tends to be unpaid work, volunteer work even. It's hard to keep people for that task if they're not supported or listened to. @CliftonR@wandering.shop
