I think everyone should pick a memoir at least once a year and read it. Memoirs cast the light of perspective on the difference between the Hollywood-fiction version of history and people's lived reality.
This one is from a Scottish woman with a neurodivergent family, who talks unflinchingly about self-medicating through booze and the side trouble that brings.
