And we lose our hardworking Labour councillor in Maypole at the County Council level to a Reform candidate. At least other parts of Colchester stood firm (but not all) - right now if I could live anywhere in the Colchester area it would be Wivenhoe (looking out on to what we affectionately term 'Kitten Woods', or Lower Lodge Farm Colne Nature Reserve as it's better known). Solidly Lib Dem with a strong Green presence at both borough and county levels.
