Daniel Devaney, who was elected for #ReformLtd as a councillor yesterday, has already resigned, and gone on holiday.
I look forward to multiple similar resignations over the next month or so, and all the ensuing by-elections. Hopefully people will replace them with a non-Reform councillor.
This demonstrates why #Reform should not be permitted as a political party - bunch of clowns, racists, misogynists, and grifters.
Reform loses first councillor soon as elected https://www.thecanary.co/skwawkbox/2026/05/09/reform-loses-first-councillor/

@HarriettMB@toot.wales Its going to be an interesting three years and a real test of just how gullible the British voters are.

@HarriettMB@toot.wales I do think that if an elected counciller walks within 24 hours ( or even longer eg 1 month) the seat should be given to the runner up! It is costly to pay for a by election.

@HarriettMB@toot.wales in fairness, a Green paper candidate also had to resign immediately. he's a teacher, and his contract forbade him from serving as a councillor. this stuff happens with paper candidates
