@etp@indieweb.social Ah, if they're around it's probably right. What mic are you using? I don't just have the odd curlew, the place is overrun with them! The playback, in general -- all birds, is so faint I'm surprised anything is recognized.

@samueljohnson@mstdn.social I’m using a cheapo Lavalier with USB bought from the Bezos Bazaar. Agreed, playback is very faint, but if I crank up the volume I can kinda sorta hear what I want to hear.
