@cas@social.treehouse.systems one update on Arch vscode hijacked all file extensions, including directories. Then I decided it's time to learn the magic of modal editors. Couldn't be happier. Vscode is such a bloated pile of junk it was absolutely amazing how quick writing code on proper tools could be.
