@jdp23@neuromatch.social Yes indeed. I suspect they booked him before he made his views on AI so clear. Plus they want to appeal to the youth, and most of his writing is YA fiction.

@danmcquillan@kolektiva.social Probably so. And he's certainly a big name with a big platform so I can see why he's an attractive choice. But even without the whole "AI" kerfuffle ... oh well, never mind, like I say I'm glad you're there.
