26-year-old repeat offender Alfonso, already with a rap sheet full of aggravated robbery, illegal guns, assault on an officer, and multiple pending felonies, was out on electronic monitoring when he murdered a police officer. He had an active warrant. He should’ve been locked up. Now we learn 72,000 people with active warrants are walking the streets of Cook County right now. The legal system isn’t just failing, it’s completely surrendered to the criminals. Chicago Democrats would rather protect monsters than protect cops and citizens. This is insanity.
