About 7 months later, Leonard and I were on the subway, with some extended family, who were visiting. A guy we didn't recognize came over and said it was great to see us - still together - and explained, "You might not remember me, but I was at your wedding!"
I like imagining that he still sees us every once in a while and smiles to himself. That couple over there, nestled against each other on the subway, laughing at each other's jokes, greyer hair, now with decades of practice navigating as a team.
