@ldottxt@kind.social The fact that the job is described as part time, but the word salary is also used. Part time work earns a wage where I'm from, and salary is what full time work gets you. Gives the impression of intentional lack of clarity.

    @liquor_american@universeodon.com @ldottxt@kind.social This was my impression as well, $55K for 40+ hrs/wk. When salary is specified there is little need for hours accounting, and ads frequently misrepresent salaries in order to pull-in candidates only to reveal final budgeted salary at the end of a lengthy, frequently time consuming, process.

Jobs in the Netherlands are almost always advertised as a negotiable range per x (usually 36) hours a week with the numbers of hours the job offers noted seperately. For example: job is 32 hours with a salary between 43.000 - 55.000 when working 36 hours.
