@distrowatch@mastodon.social There's a known effect where after someone has won elections, they are then polled for having more support than they won in the elections. In other words, people who voted against them would now vote FOR them, purely and solely due to wanting to go with the winner. In an anonymous vote. I suppose this would apply with other scenarios as well.
