@desantis@mastodon.bida.im @rusty_shackleford@colorlessgreenvoid.com @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social @faraiwe@mstdn.social This is one thing I always point out in conversations about why nothing is changing. The western world is so distracted and brainwashed, and social media keeps us fixated on the shiny things instead. How can we have proper conversations or motivate them, especially the new generations, when the average attention span is 5 seconds?

@faraiwe@mstdn.social @Seldon@fosstodon.org @desantis@mastodon.bida.im @rusty_shackleford@colorlessgreenvoid.com @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social true, the kittens and shit but I think it's the very nature of digital tech that affects our minds. We, the so called end users, simply get lazy while tech bros get 'clever' ie greedier

@desantis@mastodon.bida.im @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social @faraiwe@mstdn.social oh boy, they will be very soon. The techno oligarchs are currently sinking trillions into figuring out how to replace all workers with text predeiction engines and they are very close to getting something good enough, if not already there.
