@piensaimnieks@toot.lv, I slide the piece of wax over the waxing iron, a layer of it gets soft or melts. I smear that layer on the ski. The remaining melted wax on the iron gets picked up with the next slide of wax. The whole process is more like painting, only with the piece of wax instead of brush.
