TIL: the number of atoms outside galaxies is roughly the same of atoms inside galaxies. This is because of the long filaments or tendrils that emanate from galaxies and connect with another galaxies.
These filaments are supposed to be like the tracers of dark matter, where the gas (normal atoms) coalesce.
