Eli5: I made this account after I made my mastodon.Cloud account without thinking about it. Not that I&#39;m a power mastodon user by any means, but is there anything I can do to...merge my posts or save my friends list? I&#39;m inactive enough I may just let it die but I&#39;m curious.

@antonio106@ottawa.place If it's people that you follow, you can export those as a CSV and then import them with the "Merge" option, so it doesn't overwrite everything. If it's people that follow you, I believe (though will double-check) that it will merge into the current account (i.e. not erase the set of people that follow you). More details here: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/moving/#move Posts can't be moved between instances right now, unfortunately, so there's not much you can do there. Though, you can download them under the export page so you have a copy of them, and then view it with a variety of archive viewers. I haven't tried any of them, but one I've seen mentioned before is https://purr.neocities.org/about/ (the export page is under Preferences -> Import and Export in the sidebar)
