Dread is spot on though. A lot of American craziness never sees the light of day either. There's a "BYOC" race track up the road from me, all dirt/mud/ice/pick time of year, and the stands were built by some industrious bastard who liked CONEX containers. There are **supposedly rules and stuff, but nobody seems to know what they are. Not much of it turns up on the internet at all, because people want to keep playing with their customized toys in an unsafe manner.

Bigfoot was a joke by some loggers to freak out their rather gullible foreman. I live out here. I knew some of the people who created him. They confessed when it got out of hand. Nobody noticed. I also know one of the people who created the Fresno Nightcrawler. It is a Navy airman from LeMoore Naval Air Station wearing a radsuit, with the arms pulled in. But I talk to people, smart people, people who should be able to understand what I'm saying, and they simply refuse to believe it. They WANT Bigfoot and no amount of sense will stop them from believing it.
