@psc@mastodon.social re b — it's not uncommon (for me and lot of other folks i know) to be "done" working on something when your hatred of it totally overwhelms your perfectionism and you just abandon it and move on. which agrees with what you said, i just think it's possible to make good music while not liking what you've made.

@spiralganglion@merveilles.town In a band setting, especially when the instrumentals are a joy, I've accepted the lyrics below my threshold of acceptability for social harmony. I never felt good about it once (which is why I'm also poring through answers to this great thread)
