If you add .json to a Reddit URL, you get the data for that page in JSON format.
So here's a free app idea: a Safari extension that parses that data and builds a mobile‑friendly Reddit webpage. One that doesn't block you or kick you to their mobile app. (This is also basically how my Lucky app works.)

@zhenyi@mastodon.social There’s the extension “Yesterday for Old Reddit” that makes a mobile friendly version of the old legacy reddit website.

@zhenyi@mastodon.social If you add .rss, it also shows the RSS feed, but I’m not sure what that’s useful for. They have several protections in place that make it impossible for third-party apps to read it. :(
