My husband has come to the conclusion he is some manner of poly, with a friend being more of a boyfriend, albeit a long distance one. (He moved to Chicago in ‘25.) It does go a ways toward explaining his being unfazed by me having a hypnodom, and encouraging me to find the play I want. He’s always been a bit of a poor communicator, though I still wish he’d approached this more as an “I’d like to explore this,” than an already arrived at conclusion.

Also explains why this friend is joining us for a vacation to a gay campground/resort thing in FL this October. 🤣 In his way of selling the relationship dynamic, he’s like, “well, if you and your hypnodom are where you’re exchanging birthday gifts-“ and I just cut him off with “not happening, I established boundaries from the offset to keep it at a platonic/FWB situationship,” though I suppose now there are additional options open to me.
