His "The Fire Next Time" was one of the few nonfiction pieces I've been able to read without struggling. Amazing writer voice. But he does not pull punches. I'll need to check that one out.

@JessMahler@indiepocalypse.social I guess it can be seen as a young man trying to be different from his father, while not realizing how similar he was being.
