Sometime between yesterday, 5th of September, and today, 6th of September, Telegram has removed the following line from their FAQ:
All Telegram chats and group chats are private amongst their participants. We do not process any requests related to them.
To clear this up, it's been moved to a section further down in the FAQ, in a section about copyright. Presumably this was done in an attempt to clarify that, in one way or another, they don't want to protect illegal activity.
This theory however is a weird one, because putting that sentence/sentiment into the section about copyright still implies Telegram somehow protects your copyrighted content, which would still be illegal.
